There are various ways to import or export a form in formcycle. Depending on where the import/export is carried out, different options are available.

Import/export of the form via the "More" menu of the form tile in the "My forms" view

This export exports the entire form including workflow, resources, data sources ... and is saved with the file extension "xfd".

Forms that have been exported via this area can be imported again in two ways.

  1. Click on "New form" in the dashboard or in the "My forms" area and select the "Import form" option.
  2. Simply drag the file from the file explorer into the "My forms" area.

Importing/exporting via the form designer

This export exports either only the web form or only the workflow. Resources or other configured settings are not exported! These exports are saved with the file extension "json".

Forms that have been exported via this area can only be imported again via the Designer.
